Tri-mix diver training, entry and advanced levels.
Entry Level Trimix: £500
The aim of this course is to encourage divers to use Trimix as a safer alternative
The course takes place to a maximum depth of 60m from hard boats and we dive on wrecks or inland dive sites.
The first day is theory followed by 2 dives to a maximum depth of 30m on Nitrox. There are then a further 3 dives on Trimix on wrecks from 50m to 60m using Nitrox for decompression.
The pre requisites for this course are Advanced Nitrox Diver with Decompression Procedures certification. If you don't have the deco procedures certification prior to taking this course you may take it at the same time. Please contact us for information on how this works.
What is more important is that you have the correct, well maintained equipment with plenty of experience in using it.
This course is an intensive deep wreck diving program and you must be comfortable with your equipment as all skills are done in a max depth of 40m or in mid water. Buoyancy control, swim techniques and awareness are expected to be at a high level from candidates prior to the course.
The skills are exactly the same as taught in Advanced Nitrox except we look for greater skill in their application.
This course is a good step towards Advanced Trimix certification allowing divers to progress into much deeper diving.
Advanced Trimix: £500 (5 Day Course)
The aim of the Advanced Trimix course is to provide experienced deep wreck divers with an increased level of knowledge and skill to plan and execute dives 70m for this course.
The skills are identical to those required for Entry level Trimix.
There are 2 routes in which you can enter into the Advanced Trimix program:
- Be certified as ERD or IANTD Technical Diver with a seasons deep wreck diving in twin sets with at least 1 x 7 litre side mount.
- Be certified as Entry Level Trimix diver in which case you only need to attend the last 3 days of the course and the cost is reduced to £300.
Please note that this route is only acceptable if you have completed Entry Level Trimix with us, as we would then already have dived with you and will be aware of your capabilities.
Equipment requirements are the same as Entry Level Trimix with an extra stage cylinder and regulator required.
